Check out this handicapped open for sail boats that the Clark Lake Yacht Club is running this summer. The objective is to provide a sailing venue for Clark Lake residents and visitors with any type of sail boat. The series is open to the public. The Portsmouth handicap system is a lot of fun because all boats can compete with each other.
This is a series of six race dates with two races on each day as detailed on the linked brochure. You only need to sail half the races to qualify for a trophy. Non Yacht Club members may set up their boats and launch at the Club. Non members may also use the bath house and picnic grounds on the day of the race. Non member boats must be removed at the end of the race day. The cost is $50 if registered before May 1st or $60 after May 1st. If you only want to race a few days, the cost is $20 per day.
