Game Plans
All of our volunteer instructors are seasoned sailors who will be sharing their boat with you and one or two more people depending on the boat’s size. Boats vary from 16 to 21 foot in length. Students will rotate from boat to boat on a weekly basis so you may garner insight on the many right ways of sailing. The only wrong way, of course, is with the sail side down! Sailing is a sport that requires the agility to move quickly from one-side of the boat to another while ducking under the boom. The ability to swim is essential to the safety of all those on board even when lifejackets are worn. Please let us know of concerns. Participation in CLYC’s Fun Sail Series requires the signing of a waiver of liability. The signing of this waiver is standard practice at all regattas. Waivers may be found on line or on shore. Participants should wear swimsuits, deck or water shoes, sunglasses and lifejackets. Sunscreen, windbreakers or hats may be needed. Foul weather activities are planned, so attended regardless of the weather. by Bruce Nowak |

This photo was taken by Mike Smith during the first race on Sunday morning. Mike was also the Chief Race Official. With 43 boats in attendance & perfect weather, it was the best CLYC Tim Dowling Memorial Regatta anyone can remember. Al Schonborn completed a "Regatta in Pics" again this year and the link is posted. |
