Sailboat Racing 2024
The Clark Lake Yacht Club hosts open races on Sundays from Memorial Day through Labor Day with an end of season Regatta in mid-September. Weather and conditions permitting.

Hobie Fleet 58 has reformed and will begin their races on Thursday nights starting in mid-May. Anyone interested in joining the Fleet should contact Commodore, Chance Winnie,

Why CLYC Legacy Learn2Sail Classes?

Experience the CLYC legacy: We are a fun, welcoming and skilled club that loves sailing on Clark Lake and sharing our skills!

Experienced instructors and mentors.

No prior boating or sailing experience required.

Our program includes:

US Sailing “Learn Sailing Right!” textbook (digital option available)

Learning tools, certificate, “On land” and “On water” training (below)

Mentors teach in small groups using club & personal sailboats (Sunfish, Hobies, others)

Students develop skills through hands-on experience. Skills include setup, launch, capsize, set sails, steering, change direction, docking, and disassembly​

$0 CLYC Members (+1 workbook/family)

$40 for 1 person

$75 for 2 people from the same family

$100 for more than 2 people from the same family
