We're a private family beach and sailing club with membership open to the public. Our members come from the greater Jackson, Lansing and Ann Arbor areas and share a love of sailing and socializing. Join us at our clubhouse on beautiful Clark Lake, and meet friendly new people while enjoying the sport of sailing or other lakefront activities. We offer a unique and affordable opportunity to learn and practice the art of sailing.

 

Originally founded in 1931 as the Royal Bengal Yacht Club to provide an outlet for sailboat racing enthusiasts who summered on the vacation destination of Clark Lake, our primary mission now is to develop our members' skills in all aspects of sailing. For the beginner, there is the opportunity to crew with experienced skippers as well as formal instruction. For the more advanced, there are Spring and Summer Race Series every Sunday afternoon from May through September.

 

We are also a great club for those who are looking for a place for the family to enjoy lake shore activities. You don’t need to own a boat to join.
